Newborn calf serum (NBCS) is collected from healthy, inspected calves less than 14 days old. In comparing with Fetal Bovine Serum, NBCS contains many similar nutrients but has higher protein levels and contains more immunoglobulins. For many cell cultures it is possible to use NBCS as an alternative to FBS.
Tico Europe also offers specialty New Born Calf Serum such as Heat Inactivated, Dialysed and Irradiated NBC serum.
Our NBC Serum is sterile, cell culture tested and from Australian (AUS), USDA, New Zealand (NZ), South American (SA) or European (EUR) origin.
